Porter Airlines Baggage Policy:

In a regular basic fare of Porter Airlines Baggage policy, one personal item is included without any additional fee, but specific sports equipment might require additional fees. An additional cost is also necessary for hold luggage or checked baggage, and the fee increases with per bag checked. Depending on the size and weight categories, fees will be applicable for oversized and overweight bags.

Porter Airlines Hold Luggage or Checked Baggage Policy:

Porter Airlines permits two bags as standard hold luggage or checked baggage. Its maximum weight could be 23 kilograms (or) 50 pounds. Its maximum dimensions should be 157 centimeters or 62 inches (length + width + height).

Porter Airlines Carry-on Baggage Policy:

For every passenger, without any additional fee, Porter Airlines permits one personal item (laptop bag, briefcase, purse) and one carry-on bag. The carry-on bags need to fit in the overhead compartment (or) under the seat in front of us. 

The carry-on bag should not exceed 118 centimeters (55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm) or 47 linear inches (22 in x 16 in x 9 in), including its wheels and handles. 

The personal items should not exceed 92 centimeters (43 cm x 33 cm x 16 cm) or 36 linear inches (17 in x 13 in x 6 in). An umbrella, duty-free items, diaper bag, jacket, and assistive items (such as walkers, child restraint seats, strollers, wheelchairs, crutches, etc.) will not be counted in our carry-on allowance. 

All these personal items should be fit in the overhead compartment (or) under the seat in front of us.

Kindly note: Under storage facilities are unavailable in Bulkhead seats. Therefore, we need to store all our carry-on baggage in the overhead compartment at the time of take-off and landing.

Do Porter Airlines charge fees for baggage?

Yes, Porter Airlines will charge fees for baggage. The fee is determined based on the type of fare we purchase, in the firmandflexible – we need to pay for all, in freedom –wedo not require to pay the fee for the first two.The standard holds luggage or checked baggage fees charged by Porter Airlines for the first bag is 35 CAD/USD and 25 CAD/USD at airport check-in and online web check-in, respectively. And for the second bag, they charge 45 CAD/USD and 35 CAD/USD at airport check-in and online web check-in, respectively.

Excess Baggage fee charged by Porter Airlines:

For the third and each additional bag, we need to pay 100 CAD/USD and 90 CAD/USD at airport check-in and online web check-in. And the fee is subject to Canadian Taxes.

Oversize Baggage Fee charged by Porter Airlines:

75 CAD/USD extra for a bag will be charged by Porter Airlines that range from 158 to 203 centimeters (or) from 62 cm to 80 linear inches. Bags larger than 203 centimeters (or) 80 linear inches won’t be accepted as hold luggage or checked baggage.

Overweight Baggage fee charged by Porter Airlines:

The following are the fees charged by Porter Airlines for the bags that are greater than 23 kilograms (or) 50 pounds (weight of a standard bag). 75 CAD/USD extra per bag will be charged for bags weighing between 24 to 32 kilograms (or) 51 to 70 pounds. Bags exceeding 24 to 32 kilograms (or) 51 to 70 pounds won’t be accepted as hold luggage (or) checked baggage.

CPAP Devices:

Respiratory assistive devices that assist an individual’s respiratory functions, including respirators, ventilators, CPAPs (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Machines), and approved Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POCs) are accepted by Porter Airlines.

Do Porter Airlines charge fees for sports equipment?

Porter Airlines accepts sports equipment like golf bags, skis, lacrosse and hockey equipment, and fishing equipment up to Porter Airlines’ weight and size limits, and it will be counted as one hold luggage or checked baggage. The relevant fee might be applicable.

Pets travel restrictions in Porter Airlines:

Only one pet container is permissible, in which only one pet is contained. Pets will not be allowed to travel with unaccompanied minors, passengers traveling with infants, seated near the emergency exit rows, and passengers assisting as a registered travel attendant.
