Covid-19 Travel Restrictions in Lesotho

Lesotho visitors must fly through, or pass through, South Africa and are subject to the entry regulations of South Africa.

Except for staff participating in the transport of medical supplies, food, and other items, Lesotho has prohibited the entry of all travelers into its airports.

With the permission of the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide or obtain emergency medical services for a life-threatening condition, entry and exit to Lesotho are permitted.

Employees respecting social distance at work

As of October 1, business owners, teachers, owners with permits to live and work outside Lesotho will be able to enter and leave Lesotho, the chronically ill and people with special needs.

A negative COVID-19 test given within 72 hours prior to their arrival must be submitted by travelers qualified to enter and exit Lesotho.

Coronavirus screening will be carried out on everyone entering Lesotho. Individuals who have been in areas infected by coronavirus during the previous 14 days can self-quarantine for 14 days at their permanent or temporary place of residence. At the cost of the tourist, this self-isolation period might be needed to take place in a government-nominated hotel.
