Iraq has its airports reopened.

Full-service national airports are available, but flights to/from Turkey will no longer operate as of October 3.

On flights and in airports, face masks are compulsory. At airport entrances and for arriving passengers, thermal temperature screening is in operation.

Individuals traveling to Iraq are expected 48 hours before the flight to carry out a COVID-19 test and should be prepared to present passport control results.

All travelers arriving from abroad will be forced to remain in quarantine for a period of 14 days and may request proof of reservation at a hotel for the duration of the quarantine period.

The reopening of Erbil International Airport and Sulaymaniyah International Airport with reduced service is scheduled for August 1. Travelers arriving at Erbil International Airport must be less than 48 hours old and have a negative COVID-19 test result. Travelers without a COVID-19 outcome are checked at their expense. Arriving travelers must sign a quarantine pledge for 48 hours at their destination before the reports are obtained.

As the situation is changing rapidly, all visitors entering the Kurdistan Region should be informed, irrespective of their previous travels, that they may be subject to screening and restrictions upon arrival in the direction of the Regional Health Department, including quarantine at the facility and for the period needed by the Regional Health Department.
