Qatar has banned all foreign nationals from entering.

Except for nationals and permanent residents of Qatar, Qatar has prohibited the entry of all passengers. Residents must submit a return request first via the website of the Qatar Portal.

Travelers leaving airport are wearing protective masks

On arrival and in quarantine at home for 7 days, residents returning to Qatar must take a coronavirus test and thermal screening. An extra examination must be taken at one of the dedicated health centers on day 6. Depending on the results of this second test, extra action may be needed. It is mandatory for everyone in Qatar to download Qatar’s track and trace software, Ehteraz. Travelers may be asked upon arrival to view the app. You will find more information on Qatar’s criteria for entry and arrival on the GCO website.

It is still possible for transit passengers to travel to another destination to fly via Qatar, and several flights continue to operate. If you are planning to leave or transit via Qatar, you should check with your airline or travel company for the latest details. At short notice, flights are subject to change or cancellation. Travelers can receive routine thermal screening and temperature tests when in transit at Hamad International Airport.
