Residents (including holders of work permits) are not allowed to be screened before traveling to Bermuda but must be in quarantine for a period of eight to nine days after arrival.

Bermuda has lifted its previous travel ban, meaning that from July 1, all travelers will enter the territory.

All Bermuda passengers, whether tourists or residents, must complete the online Bermuda travel authorization process that collects essential information for health and immigration officials on the island; a $75 fee is required, which includes the cost of Bermuda COVID-19 testing.

Bermuda allows all tourists to have a pre-departure examination to travel to Bermuda if they have visited or originated from a country identified by the WHO as having COVID-19 population transmission (this includes the US, UK, and Canada) within 14 days before travel. Travelers would not be able to receive travel authorization without a negative pre-departure test result.

Upon arrival, all passengers over 10 years of age must take a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 examination within 72 hours of departure. Instead of the RT-PCR test, children aged 10 to 17 may be presented with a saliva test.

Upon arrival in Bermuda, a second test will be given, and travelers will have to self-isolate while waiting for an outcome (in most cases, the turnaround time between 6 to 8 hours, when arrival occurs during the day). Children below the age of 10 are excluded but must stay with their adult travel partners in quarantine.

Residents (including holders of work permits) who do not have a negative PCR COVID-19 test result before departure must be quarantined for eight days after arrival. On day four, they will not be screened, but they will be screened on day eight and will be released from quarantine with negative results on day eight. If a traveler takes a pre-departure RT-PCR COVID-19 test and receives a negative result in Bermuda within the first four days, they will be released from quarantine. On day 4, day 8, and day 14, they will still have to be checked. For them, the place and time of each of their tests will be booked automatically. 24 hours prior to each test, they will receive email reminders.

Travelers must take their own temperature twice a day after a negative test outcome and report through an online application/portal. They must also take additional COVID-19 tests, conducted at conveniently accessible pop-up testing centers across the island on the 4th day, Day 8, and Day 14.

Visitors should receive health insurance covering the likely positive diagnosis of COVID-19 when in Bermuda. Visitors without coverage will be liable for all health and housing expenses associated with a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 while in Bermuda.

For the crew, special requirements apply. Based on their travel itinerary, visitors and crew can leave Bermuda if they remain asymptomatic for less than 14 days.
