Travel Ban

Fully Covid Vaccinated travellers from the USA can apply for quarantine-free entry into Singapore under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) program beginning October 19, 2021.


Quarantine

Quarantine is not required for fully vaccinated travellers arriving from the United States.


Mandatory Covid Test

Travellers, including citizens and residents of the USA, entering Singapore must take a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at their own cost, and it must take 1-3 days before departure.

All Travelers/applicants are required to install Trace Together App. And should submit their contact information and profile.


Things to do in Singapore while arriving


On Arrival Test on Airport

All applicants must take a PCR test while arrival in Singapore; each test fees S$160 (including GST).


Transiting via Singapore

Transit through Singapore may be possible. But it entirely depends on the departure, and destination countries and the airlines have chosen.

Transit passengers must take a COVID-19 pre-departure test within 48 hours of their departure. Prospective passengers should check with their airlines about transit permissions through Singapore.


Returning from Singapore, Things to Know


Travel restrictions from SG

People travelling back to the US from Singapore are allowed to enter. Even so, if they have a travel history with 35 countries during the last 14 days before their arrival are not allowed to visit the US.


Unvaccinated Travellers

Unvaccinated applicants or travellers are advised to quarantine themself for seven (7) to ten(10) days after arrival in the USA. Travellers are recommended to get a COVID-19 test 3 to 5 days after arriving in the United States. If the Covid test is shown negative, it is advised that the traveller or applicant complete the 7-day (1 week) quarantine. If the COVID-19 test is shown positive, they must self-isolate until the traveller recover. Travellers that do not complete a COVID-19 test are recommended to quarantine for ten days.


Mandatory Covid Test

Passengers should have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result. In addition, they must retake the test in 3 to 5 days after returning from their trip.

Children under two are exempted from the test.


Contact Information

Before boarding flights to the United States, all air passengers will be required to provide contact information to airlines.

This strengthens an already-in-place travel process for quickly identifying and contacting people in the United States.

Self-Quarantine

Stay at home and self-quarantine for a full seven days after returning from your trip, even if you test negative after 3–5 days.

If you are not tested, you should self-quarantine for ten days after your trip.

You need to self-monitor for symptoms; isolate and get tested if symptoms appear again.
