Travel Ban
The USA is one of the green list countries, so fully vaccinated US citizens and residents can enter the UAE.
Register vaccination info
All travelers to the UAE must register the vaccination details online. Travelers need to register in the ICA travel service platform or the Al Hosn app.
Mandatory Covid-19 Test
All travellers arriving in Dubai should have a negative COVID RT-PCR test report taken at a minimum of 72 hours before the departure of their plane.
All travellers arriving in Abu Dhabi should have a negative COVID RT-PCR test report taken at a minimum of two days or 48 hours before departure.
All travellers arriving in Sharjah should have a negative COVID RT-PCR test report taken at a minimum of 72 hours before departure.

Mandatory Quarantine
If travelers arrive in Abu Dhabi, quarantine is not mandatory for fully vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers because the USA is one of the green list countries.
If travelers arrive in Dubai, quarantine is not mandatory for fully vaccinated travelers and unvaccinated travelers. Read more.
If travelers arrive in Sharjah, quarantine is not mandatory for fully vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. If the test report is positive, you need quarantine for fourteen days. Read more.
Mandatory COVID test at the airport
If travelers arrive in Dubai from the USA, the COVID test is mandatory at the airport. UAE residents are exempted from the test.
If fully vaccinated travelers arrive in Abu Dhabi, take a COVID test and another test on day six. If unvaccinated travelers arrive in Abu Dhabi, take a COVID test and another test on days six and 12.
All kinds of travelers arriving in Sharjah take a COVID test on arrival.
Wearing Mask
All passengers must be wearing a mask on arrival in all UAE airports and follow the social distance.
Returning from UAE, Things to Know
Exempt from COVID-19 tested
Exemptions are applicable in an emergency (like a medical emergency). An exemption will be granted if a person cannot complete pre-trip health care and testing due to a medical emergency.
Mandatory COVID test
The CDC provided an order needing all air passengers arriving in the USA from UAE to be checked three days before their flight departure and submit a COVID test result or document reports for recovery from COVID-19 before boarding. Vaccination
All nonimmigrant and non-U.S. citizens to America will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Besides, travelers also need to provide proof of vaccination status before boarding a flight to the United States beginning November 8, 2021.

Mandatory Quarantine and Testing
All Travelers:
- 3–5 days after your trip, get a COVID-19 viral test.
- Self-monitor for any COVID-19 symptoms. If symptoms appear, isolate and get tested.
- After your trip, make sure to follow all state and local recommendations or requirements.
Not Fully Vaccinated:
In addition to the recommendations mentioned above, not fully vaccinated travelers should follow,
- Stay at home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after returning from your trip, even if you test negative after 3–5 days.
- If you are not tested for COVID, you should return home and self-quarantine for 10 days after your trip.
