Except for Angolan nationals and citizens, Angola has limited the entry of most travelers. For medical evacuations, for a limited number of humanitarian flights, and for the entry and exit of critical personnel, exceptions are made. Except for the flow of vital goods and services, humanitarian assistance, and the transport of ill patients, Angola’s borders remain closed. All passengers, including airline crew, are subject to a 14-day quarantine.

Travelers can choose between staying at a hotel quarantine location approved by the government (at personal expense) or a quarantine center run by the government. Quarantine in their homes may be allowed for Angolan residents and people who have checked negative prior to boarding their flight. The home quarantine will last for at least seven days; if anyone tests COVID-19 negative in-home quarantine after seven days, they would be released.

Anyone arriving in Angola must request evidence of a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test; travelers may take the test up to 72 hours before entering the country and maybe credited with a compulsory 14-day quarantine for those days.
