Bahrain has prohibited the entry of all passengers, except for foreigners, locals, Bahraini military personnel, and passengers with a valid Prior Permission Granted (PPG) letter that must be submitted prior to boarding. Except for diplomats or travelers with UN passports, visas upon arrival have been suspended. Anyone attempting to enter Bahrain must have a residence permit in Bahrain or secure a visa by visiting www.evisa.gov.bh in advance.

All arrivals to Bahrain will, at their own cost, be subject to COVID-19 checking. Such tests may cost more than BHD 30 ($80), and it may be appropriate for travelers to take two tests, doubling the cost of the passenger. Those without symptoms will have to isolate themselves for 10 days on arrival, and those with symptoms will have to take additional quarantine steps. Starting from 22 July, passengers must pay the test and quarantine fees at Http:/bh.bh/BeAware or through the self-service payment kiosk at the airport before departure.

In addition, all arrivals visiting or transiting Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon within 14 days before arriving in Bahrain will be subject to strengthened testing and quarantine procedures at government facilities. The border crossing on the causeway from Saudi Arabia has been suspended but is now available to Saudi citizens arriving at BAH to fly (one way) to Saudi Arabia.
