Flights from Bahrain, China, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Turkey, the UAE, and the UK are permitted; however, with effect from 1 August, the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority has reduced the number of passengers on flights to and from Bangladesh to 260 on two-aisle aircraft and 140 on one-aisle aircraft.

Travelers with pre-arranged visas must have obtained medical certificates confirming that they are not infected by a coronavirus (COVID-19) within 72 hours prior to departure. Certificates must be in English, or they must be translated into English.

Provided they get a letter of confirmation from the Board of Investment (BOI) of Bangladesh, business travelers with a return / onward ticket can enter Bangladesh. The letter must contain an identification number for the BOI and must have been informed by the approved welcoming entity to the Immigration authorities prior to arrival. Business travelers must also present a medical certificate given no more than 72 hours before arrival with a negative COVID-19 test result.

Travelers from Bangladesh without COVID-19 symptoms will be expected to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival in Dhaka. Those who show signs of COVID-19 or do not apply for the medical certificate referred to above will be institutionally quarantined for 14 days in Dhaka.
