According to CDC data, COVID in Canada is now at Level 3 (High Level of COVID-19 in Canada).  Before traveling to Canada, make sure you are fully vaccinated. Travelers who are not immunized should avoid unnecessary trips to Canada.

Most overseas visitors are not allowed to enter Canada. Yet, some categories of passengers are permitted to travel. Read more


Covid Vaccine for Travel

Currently, the Canadian Government allows fully vaccinated travelers to enter Canada. Unvaccinated travelers can’t enter Canada for leisure activities. Check the vaccine list approved by the Canadian Government.


Pre-entry Test Result

To enter Canada, all travelers five years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status or citizenship, must submit proof of a COVID-19 negative molecular test result. Rapid antigen tests are not acceptable. Click here to know more about other rules.

Before 72 hrs. of your travel; you must submit your details in

ArriveCAN App. If you don’t submit the details in the App, you may be denied boarding.

Quarantine required

If you do not meet the needs of the fully vaccinated traveler, be ready to quarantine for 14 days.

Hold the address and contact details of your quarantine location. You may be queried to describe your quarantine arrangement at the border.


Arrival test

If you are a fully vaccinated passenger, you may be chosen for compulsory randomized arrival testing.

If you are an unvaccinated passenger, you must get tested before leaving the airport. Depending on where you arrive, there are various testing providers. You can make an account before saving time at the airport.


Returning from Canada to the US, Things to Know


Exempt from tested

Exemptions applicable for emergency travel (such as an emergency medical evacuation) should occur to save someone’s life when a person cannot complete health, or

pre-trip health care and examination against serious risk to save lives.             


Restrictions from Travelling from Canada

There are no restrictions for travelers returning from Canada. Most international passengers who have been staying or transited through some countries in the past 14 days are not permitted to enter the USA.


Mandatory Covid test

The CDC issued an order requiring all air passengers (2 years or older) arriving in the United States from abroad to be checked one day before their flight departure and submit a negative result or documents for recovery from COVID-19.

Mandatory Quarantine

Mandatory self-quarantine is required for unvaccinated passengers for seven days if they are tested.

If they are not tested, they need self-quarantine for ten days.

No quarantine for completely vaccinated passengers, two weeks after their second dose


Covid Test

Unvaccinated travelers are recommended to take a COVID-19 test 3-5 days after arriving in the USA.
