Diplomatic passport holders, UN passport holders, and UNESCO representatives can also enter the country with prior approval from government authorities.

However, foreign nationals traveling from the following countries are barred from entering Kuwait until further notice: Afghanistan, Armenia, Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China and Hong Kong, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Italy, Egypt, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Iraq, Iran, Kosovo, Lebanon, Moldova, Montenegro, Nepal, North Macedonia, Panama, Pakistan, Serbia, Peru, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Spain, Syria, and Yemen. This also refers to any individuals who have been present in the two weeks prior to their travel to Kuwait in these countries.

Before departure, all travelers must install the ‘Shlonik’ software on their personal computers. Any traveler who cannot install the app will be notified by the Kuwait DGCA, and they will have to present their boarding pass upon arrival.

Travelers must apply and carry the results with them, a PCR negative coronavirus (COVID-19) medical certificate issued 96 hours before the Kuwait flight is approved. It does not need any translation.

A random PCR test will be carried out on ten percent of the passengers on each flight upon their arrival in Kuwait. Subsequently, all passengers are subject to 14-day home quarantine.
