Moldova has limited entry until at least 15 September to most international travelers, except for nationals and their immediate family members, individuals holding a visa, residence permit, diplomatic, humanitarian, and transit flights.

Until 15 September, the Moldovan border authorizes foreigners only if one of the following exceptions applies: immediate family members of Moldovan citizens; persons holding a visa, residence permit, or other document issued by the Moldovan authorities; persons traveling for ‘professional purposes’ in possession of a visa, residence permit or other document issued by the Moldovan authorities; diplomats accredited by the Moldovan authorities;

Other groups of people are permitted to enter Moldova as of June 30. These include business tourists, long-stay visas, residency permits or similar documents, diplomatic mission representatives and dependents, Consular posts, and Moldova-accredited international organizations, humanitarian relief employees, transit passengers, health, and humanitarian travelers, cross-border workers, and drivers and service personnel.

In order to enter Moldova, PCR and/or serology is not necessary, but all travelers must complete an epidemiological questionnaire (‘fisa epidemiologica’) at airports and other ports of entry when entering Moldova and sign a 14-day self-isolation statement.

Starting on 1 September, Moldova requires a 14-day homestay (quarantine) for new arrivals from some countries, with the exception of asymptomatic people transporting merchandise, crew members, students, health care travelers, visa-related work-related travelers, Moldova-accredited diplomatic corps, and transit passengers.
