On September 1, Hosea Kutako International Airport reopened for commercial flights. Passengers must be subjected to a negative COVID-19 PCR test given within 7 days before arrival, subject to a necessary COVID-19 test upon arrival, and to a 7-day quarantine at their own expense.
International travelers can only enter Namibia from September 1 via Hosea Kutako International airport.
International passengers must proceed directly from the airport to an establishment or accommodation registered with the Namibia Tourism Board and accredited for that purpose by the Ministry of Health. A COVID-19 examination will be carried out a few days after arrival, and only if a negative result has been obtained will the continuation of the itinerary in the country be permitted.
All individuals entering Namibia are expected to submit evidence of a negative COVID-19 test taken 7 days prior to their arrival in Namibia.
All persons planning to travel to Namibia shall inform the nearest Namibian Embassy or High Commission not less than two weeks before the departure of their intention to travel to Namibia.
Travelers entering Namibia must enter quarantine for a duration of 7 days in a licensed facility at their own expense. On day 5, a PCR-test will be taken, results should be obtained on day 7, and those with negative results will be released.
