Introduction

Citizens of the Philippines should apply for a tourist B2 visa before they are able to enter the US. This extends to any period of stay, as the Republic of the Philippines does not engage in the Visa Waiver Scheme of the United States. Applications for visas are checked in-depth detail, so apply far in advance of the expected date of departure to the USA. The US State Department is advising that not to finalize any travel arrangements or buy non-refundable air tickets until a visa is released. Those that are given a tourist B2 visa during the trip are not permitted to take up any kind of job in the United States.
