US citizens are permitted to enter Qatar with restrictions.


Covid Vaccine for Travel

You need to be fully vaccinated before travelling to Qatar.  The Qatar approved Covid vaccines are here.


Mandatory Covid Test

Travellers must submit the original copy of the PCR test result to the airlines or at the country’s ports in order to board the plane. If you are not vaccinated, you need to take a PCR test 72 hours before arrival to Qatar.

Quarantine Details

Passengers who have received a conditionally certified Covid vaccination must have a Serology Antibody test before to arriving in Qatar, and if the passenger is unable to complete the test in their home country, they must stay in Qatar for 7 days.


Covid Test at Airport

Only the negative report for the COVID-19 (coronavirus) PCR Test is now accepted.

Qatar Non-residents must enrol/ register via the pre-registration platform on the (www.ehteraz.gov.qa) official website and upload all relevant documentation such as PCR test result and vaccine certificate, & other relevant documentation at least three (3) days before arrival. Travellers who arrive in Qatar must fill acknowledgement form.

Travel Restrictions

Travelers from Qatar who do not have a travel history in 35 additional countries during the 14 days (2 weeks) before their arrival can enter the USA.


Mandatory Covid test

NAAT: NEAR, HDA, RT-LAMP, TMA, or Antigen: Rapid). The test must be performed/conducted no more than three days before the 1st scheduled departure time in the travel itinerary. If a traveller’s flight is at (one) 1 pm on [W1] a Wednesday, the applicant’s could board with a negative test taken any time on the prior Sunday or after.

Test results must include the applicant’s name & at least one other ID such as DOB or travel document number. The test must also clearly mention that the results are “negative,” SARS-CoV-2 RNA not detected,” SARS-CoV-2 antigen not detected,” or “COVID-19 not detected.” A Covid test marked “invalid” is not acceptable.
