Rwanda has had its airports reopened. A negative PCR test must be carried out by travelers and will be checked again upon arrival.
The airports in Rwanda reopened on August 1. Travelers and airline crew must have a medical certificate given within 120 hours prior to their departure with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. It will only be approved for PCR tests, and the certificate must be clearly labeled as such.
They will have to take the 2nd test on arrival and undergo quarantine for 24 hours at a designated hotel while awaiting their results. Designated hotels can be found in the instructions of the Government of Rwanda. The test is going to cost $50USD. Upon obtaining a negative test result, travelers can leave the quarantine. They would be forced to attend a government treatment center if the findings are positive.
