Should children under the age of eighteen apply for ETIAS?

No, unfortunately, it is not possible for U.S. to study in Europe with an approved ETIAS visa waiver because the conditions issued by an ETIAS from the United States indicate that the holder cannot carry out any inspection when traveling to the Schengen area.

Approved U.S. ETIAS allows the owner to travel to Schengen countries for tourism, transportation, medical treatment, or business purposes. In order to study at a college in Europe or to undertake an internship program, U.S. citizens must obtain the relevant study permit or national visa for the specific country in which they wish to study.
