For restricted commercial flights, Togo has reopened its borders. All travelers arriving in Togo are expected to provide evidence of a COVID-19 PCR negative test taken no greater than 120 hours prior to boarding. They will be subject to another compulsory COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival. Prior to traveling, travelers must complete an online immigration and health form where they will have to pre-pay for the COVID-19 on-site exam, which costs CFA 40,000 (approximately USD 70). To be permitted to board the plane, they would need a print-out of the electronic receipt.
The COVID-19 PCR tests will be carried out at the international airport of Lomé upon arrival. Travelers must download the Togo Safe application before leaving the airport and add the location where they can self-isolate before they obtain their test results. Within 24 hours, test results should arrive. Those with positive test results would be forced to self-isolate before they test negative, either at home or at a government facility.
