General Entry Requirements for Americans to Enter Jamaica:
United States citizens may visit Jamaica for leisure or business without a Jamaican visa if they meet the following criteria:
- A passport or travel document, which must be valid for at least six months
- A round-trip or return ticket to the United States
- Sufficient funds or means to support yourself and any accompanying dependents during your stay in Jamaica
- Should not be the subject of a certificate from a doctor stating that landing permission is not desirable due to medical grounds
- Should not be of unsound mind
- Should not have been convicted of any extraditable offence in a foreign country
- Should not be subject to a deportation order issued under Chapter 9 of Jamaica’s Alien Law
- Should not be the subject of a landing prohibition order from Jamaica’s Minister of National Security
- For minor travelers, relationship proof between minors and adults will be required. The original birth and adoption certificates can be used. Copies that have been certified by a Notary Public will not be accepted
Travelers should also be aware that the length of stay is at the discretion of the Jamaican Immigration authorities. Frequent visitors to Jamaica should be aware that once their total number of days in a calendar year exceeds 180, they must obtain a visa from the nearest Jamaican Consular mission or post before being re-admitted.

Entry Requirements for U.S. Permanent Resident to Jamaica:
Nationals or citizens of other countries (except Taiwan) who are permanent residents of the United States may enter Jamaica as tourists without a visa, but they must bring the following with them.
- A valid passport or travel document for the duration of your stay in Jamaica
- Green Cards or valid re-entry permits to the United States
- Round-trip tickets to the United States or onward tickets to another location
Permanent Residents of the U.S.:
Residents of the United States who are visiting Jamaica as tourists for a period of no more than six (6) months and who have return or round-trip touring tickets proving that their journey began in the United States, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands and that they have the right to return there. It is recommended that they have a valid passport in order to enter Jamaica.
Jamaicans who are residents of the U.S.:
Jamaicans living in the United States must have a valid Jamaican passport, an Emergency Travel Document, a Permanent Resident Card (PRC), or an appropriate temporary resident visa, as well as a return ticket to the United States of America.
Jamaicans who are also the citizens of the U.S.:
Jamaicans who are also US citizens must return to the US on a valid US passport (not their Naturalization (Citizenship) Certificates). Prior to travel, please consult with the appropriate US authority.
Taiwan Nationals:
Taiwanese nationals should contact the nearest Jamaican Consulate before making travel plans to Jamaica for more information on current restrictions on using their passports to enter Jamaica.
Cruise Passengers:
In general, cruise ship passengers do not require visas to enter Jamaica. They must, however, have a valid passport and proof of eligibility to return to the United States of America.

Passport Requirements to Travel Jamaica:

- Passport should have at least one blank page. Foreign embassies cannot grant a visa on a page that is not marked as a visa page. Amendment and endorsement pages within the passport cannot be used to secure a visa. A visa cannot be marked on a page even though the visa document includes just one Small Stamp. You must renew your passport if your passport expires within six months.
