Passport Requirements according to Moldova Visa Policy

All travelers are expected to have a passport, except as follows:

Document Validity according to Moldova Visa Policy

Passports and alternative documents, or either of them, must be valid for at least six months after the period of the intended visit.

1. People living in Moldova may enter travel documents that are valid upon arrival.

TWOV (Transit Without Visa)

1. It is unnecessary for travelers to continue their trip on the first connecting plane within 4 hours or to continue to a third country with the same plane to have a visa.

Travelers must have all documents required for their next trip and confirmed onward tickets per Moldova Visa Policy. They are not allowed to leave the airport.

2. TWOV does not apply to travelers without nationality or citizenship and refugees.

1. Travelers must have all the paperwork needed for their next journey, enough money to cover the costs of their stay, and onward or return tickets:

Exemptions:

There is no restriction on import of:

– 200 cigarettes.

– Two-liter of wine and other personal products.

These amounts are free of charge for individuals over 18 years of age.

There is no limitation on exporting the exact quantities as imported.

Birds, cats, and dogs require the following:

-A veterinary certificate of good health issued by their home nation.

-Cat and dogs also require a rabies vaccination certificate.

Written permission from the Moldova National Bank or other approved banks is required for higher sums up to 50,000 USD or equivalent. On bank transfers, transfers can export excess amounts under this cap.
