What is a German visa for business?

A German visa for business is a short-stay Schengen visa, which grants its holder to arrival and remains in German business visa for up to 90 days within six months unless specified variously in the visa sticker. It’s issued to people who come to German visa to perform business making, attend meetings or conferences, and sign contracts. 

What are the documents required for a German visa?

The mandatory German business visa requirements are given below:

3 Photograph The following are the German tourist visa requirements on the photograph. • Your photo must be recent. • Your face should take up 70 to 80 percentage of the photo. • Your face should be centered in the photo. • The background of your photo should be one color and bright. • No shadows are present in the background. • Your eyes and face must be straight into the camera. • Eyes should be visible (no lenses or sunglasses) • Headwear is not permitted, but the exception of your religious purposes.
5 Proof of Financial means Provide bank statements of the last three months with your name. If the bank statements are with your spouse’s name or other family member’s name, submit your marriage certificate or proof of relationship and also submit their working certificate.
6 Residence visas Valid USA residence visa or valid USA alien registration card.
7 Bank Statements Applicant bank statement for last three months.
8 Air Ticket Provide proof of your travel arrangements.
9 Invitation Letter A recent and signed business letter from the employer. This needs to confirm how long you have employed, the business kind relations with the Germany company, purpose of travel, duration of business trips, and if applicable, a guarantee to cover all travel expenses. A recent and signed formal letter of invitation from your German business partner, stating the kind of business relations, the purpose of travel, duration of business travel, and if applicable, a confirmation letter to cover trip expenses and costs of stay. In case you should be invited for many trips over a longer time period, the invitation letter has to explicitly state this. Should you go on a business journey within the same company, we STILL request a separate letter from each office, US and Germany. The invitation letter has to be an original document.
10 Hotel Accommodation Hotel booking, confirmation, stating name, phone number, and address of the hotel, with confirmation number and name of the guest. Provide one photocopy also.
11 Health Insurance This document is issued in the USA or Germany, including a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros.

Minor:

Separate visa application form and documents for each minor child,

The application form must be signed by both parent’s unless one parent has sole custody or a residence order for the minor. In this case, please provide proof of the sole custody (e.g., birth certificate of the child, adoption papers, a court decision on custody); original + one copy.

  • Original passports from both parents and one photocopy
  • Original birth certificate of each minor child and one photocopy

If both legal guardians are unable to appear at the appointment, the child has to provide a notarization letter of travel consent issued by the parents with notarized signatures and passport copies.

Employment Status:

Whether you are employed, self-employed, unemployed, a student, or retired, you have to provide the appropriate documents in respect to your employment status. As such:
