According to CDC data, COVID in Thailand is now at Level 3: Very High. Before traveling to Thailand, make sure you are fully vaccinated. Travelers who are not immunized should avoid unnecessary trips to Thailand.

With increased COVID-19 cases currently on the rise, the Royal Thai Government has implemented new measures to combat the disease’s spread. And it is getting ready to welcome tourists from all over the world on November 1st, 2021.

Before Your Travel Plan to Thailand, Things should be known?


Travel Prevented

The Tourism Authority of Thailand wishes to confirm that Thailand is ready to welcome fully vaccinated foreign travelers, including returning Thais and foreign residents, from approved countries/territories to enter the Kingdom by air with no quarantine requirements beginning November 1, 2021. Check the approved countries list here.


Covid Vaccine for Travel

Currently, Thailand approves 7 Vaccines for foreign travelers.The COVID Vaccine certificate should contain your name, DOB, passport number, nationality, vaccine name, date, etc.

Mandatory Covid Test

A Certificate with an RT-PCR lab result indicating that COVID-19 has not been detected, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.

A Certificate of Recovery is also required from those with a COVID-19-positive lab result to demonstrate that they have recovered from COVID no later than three months of travel.


Self-declaration form to Submit

Foreign travelers must need Thailand Pass QR Code. Before travel, visit the tp.consular.go.th site and submit your details. You will get your Thailand pass via email.


Things to do in Thailand while arriving


No Quarantine Required

The Thailand government declares U.S. citizens need not be in quarantine upon arrival. Vaccinated travelers quarantine-free entry into Thailand is available for air travelers from approved countries.


Covid Test at Airport

All travelers need an Rt-PCR test upon arrival in Thailand.


Testing Requirements

Then, on Day 0-1, take the approved airport transfer to the pre-arranged COVID-19 test center.

Travelers must install the specified alert application (MorChana), and they must only wait within the accommodation for the result, which should be available within one day. Travelers who test negative for COVID-19 can visit any location in Thailand.


Unvaccinated Travelers

Unvaccinated travelers should take COVID-19 RT-PCR tests after their arrival. And follow ten days quarantine rule. At the end of quarantine, they need to take another test. If the test result is negative, they can freely travel domestically within Thailand.

For travelers arriving by land need to quarantine for 14 days.

Travelers from Thailand who do not have a travel history (see 35 additional countries during the 14 days before their arrival) can enter the United States.


Mandatory Covid Test

Travelers should have an original printed paper either electronic negative Coronavirus test result (RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, either Antigen-Rapid).The test should be performed three days before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary.


Travel Attestation Form

Travelers should complete a travel attestation form previous to arrival. This form will be given by the airline at check-in.

Covid Test

The air travelers (regardless of vaccination status) arriving in the United States, including U.S. citizens, should have a negative COVID-19 test result in either certification of recovery from COVID-19 previous to the board a flight to the United States.


Mandatory Quarantine
