Turkey is in Level 4, which means a high level of Covid in Turkey as per CDC. If it is necessary to travel to Turkey, you must be fully vaccinated before traveling. Because of the current circumstances in Turkey, even persons who have been completely vaccinated may be subjected to and spread the Covid variants.

Travel Ban

US citizens can travel to Turkey. Travelers must follow the Covid rules strictly.


Covid Vaccine for Travel

You need to be fully vaccinated before travel. You can use FDA-approved vaccines.


Mandatory Covid Test

A negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) is required before you travel to Turkey.


Mandatory Arrival Form

Travelers should finish an Entry Form online a maximum of three days prior departure to Turkey. Travelers should show proof of having finished the form.

No Quarantine Required

There is no quarantine for US people. If they do not submit a PCR test within 72 hours of boarding their flight or reach by land border or seaport without a PCR test, they will be obliged to quarantine where they intended to stay.

Visitors will not be needed to quarantine or submit a negative PCR test result if they present a document issued by the relevant country’s official people declaring that they were vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entry into Turkey and/or had the disease and were healed within the last 6 months.


Covid Test at Airport

COVID-19 control procedures for air, land, and sea transport remain in place. Visitors arriving in Turkey will be asked to fill out an information form and will be screened for symptoms.

Anyone suspected of having COVID-19 will be taken to a hospital for testing or to a hostel to be self-isolated.


Movement of Restrictions

In Turkey, curfew is not in place. There are restrictions on inter-city or inter-state travel. Travel using a private vehicle will not need proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test. Individuals who fail to give the necessary documentation will not be allowed to board public transportation.


Unvaccinated   Travelers

Unvaccinated travelers may be required to quarantine on entry if they have close contact with a positive COVID-19 case or if they are suspected.

Restrictions for traveling from Turkey

All air passengers flying to the United States will also be asked to furnish contact information to airlines prior to boarding flights to the United States. This increases an existing travel mechanism for quickly identifying and contacting people in the United States who may have been subjected to an infectious disease, such as COVID-19. Most unvaccinated international travelers aren’t permitted to enter the U.S see the exemptions.

Access to passengers’ contact information will allow federal, state, and local health departments and agencies in the United States to share essential health and public health information needed to keep the public safe.


Mandatory Covid Test

If you are fully vaccinated then, Vaccination proof and a COVID negative test result obtained no more than three days before departure from Turkey.

If you have not been wholly vaccinated for Covid: A negative COVID-19 test result was obtained no more than one day before departure.


Travel Attestation form

Passengers should complete a travel attestation form before arrival. This form will be given by the airline at check-in.


Things to do in the USA while arriving


Covid Test

If you are vaccinated, 3–5 days after your trip, get a COVID-19 viral test. Self-monitor for COVID-19 signs; isolate and get tested if symptoms appear. After your trip, make sure you follow all state and local suggestions or laws.


Mandatory Quarantine

Stay at home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel if you are not fully vaccinated, even if you test negative after 3–5 days. If you aren’t tested for Covid, you should return home and self-quarantine for 10 days after your trip from Turkey.
